They took no note of her, nor the drinks she had returned with, but her eyes never left them, not even as she reached out to her own glass and embraced the cold rim of it with her lips, her body stiffening in empathetic hunger as Felix clenched his sharp, inhuman hand inside Daniel's shirt. His razor tipped fingers moved against Daniel's chest and the human man cried low down Felix's throat with the pain of it as the creature's nails sliced through his skin.

Felix only laughed, suddenly pulling Daniel roughly away by the hair, then reaching out that same inhuman hand with the sharp, sharp nails and touches of Daniel's blood upon them, to one of the drinks she had set down on the table. Daniel only gasped for air now that he was someway released, as well he might, it was not easy to breathe when Felix had you in his grasp. Not that you were always wanting such release, Kit knew as well as any of them the true conflict of need when enjoying Felix's company; desirous hunger for him, or simple air.

Less roughly now, indeed with some fondness, Felix took the glass without sipping from it himself and raised it to Daniel's mouth. Daniel, head still held back by the grip of Felix's other hand in his hair, merely drank from it as he was bid, his eyes catching hers over the rim as he did so. His smile was hungry, tempting; he was enjoying himself immensely and expected only more and greater pleasure to come. That was okay, she only smiled back darkly herself. She loved to watch a strong man forced down, just as much as Daniel loved to be forced

"Jesus, Kit, tell me you've finished your drink," he said, still breathless, immediately as Felix brought the glass away from his mouth. "I so want to go upstairs and fuck."

Felix was grinning his sharp toothed, dark grin as he glanced at her to gauge her response, putting the glass back on the table without drinking from it himself. Instead, he brought his hand to his mouth and licked the droplets of Daniel's blood from his sharpened, inhuman nails, watching her constantly. It was an action meant to partly spike her fear, mostly spike her arousal, and it worked in both cases. He would not have pierced the skin too deeply, just enough to hurt, drinking as much from Daniel's pain as his blood. Despite his vampiric tendencies, Felix wasn't anything so simple as a vampire. What he was, was indefinable. One thing he was, was hungry. Always hungry. Kit wanted him bad, as, obviously, did Daniel.

Too experienced in the pleasures of denial, both inflicting it and suffering it, Kit only took a further, small, sip of her own drink and grinned slyly.

"All in good time," she promised. "I'm enjoying myself watching you at the moment."

Daniel let out a frustrated groan, half clenching his teeth as he glared at her, but he was in the mood to let himself be pushed around currently and so would not argue, instead only turning his attentions back to Felix. Felix himself simply laughed low at the other's desperation and let Daniel push him back against the padded upholstery of the seat behind him, Daniel's hands spreading apart his already half undone shirt and bringing his lips to the muscular definitions of Felix's chest.

Felix just lay back and let Daniel mouth his body, one hand held loosely at the back of the blonde man's head, the other half clenched on top of the table separating Kit from the men as he enjoyed the human man's attentions. Over the top of Daniel's head, his obsidian black eyes met hers and she could see the base desire in them, the dark hunger which drove him on. His smile was sharp toothed and dangerous and made her want to give in then and there, to simply crawl across the table to him and give herself to him just as gladly as Daniel currently was. Felix tended to have that affect on his lovers. One of his attractions; Daniel and she were the same in almost every way, after all, and a liking for brutal dominance was definitely one of them.

She knew he was in her head well before she thought to pull away. Felix getting in there, mentally inside of her, finding the centre of her desire and drawing it forwards, building it up, psychic powers. She couldn't help but push physically back against her seat, her fingers clutching at the dented, stained wood of the bar-table in front of her as she groaned low with the sudden burning growing inside of her. Her back was arched, but her eyes remained locked with his, trapped in Felix's dark, knowing gaze. His hand, the one which had previously been upon the table, lifted slowly and beckoned to her and she wanted to go to him then, to do anything for him, to bow down and submit to him. His gaze offered her a pain sublime and a pleasure immeasurable and all it would take would be for her to bow down before his will.

It took a brutal growl and a supreme effort to tear herself away from his gaze. Indeed, it was even almost painful to do so, her teeth clenched with the effort, screwing her eyes up shut suddenly to cut out the sight of his dark, obsidian eyes which had captured her so easily. Felix's psychic manipulations were not necessarily unwelcome, of course, but fighting them was always part of the fun.

Flushed from having him in her head, she refused to meet his eyes again and instead only grabbed for her drink with shaking hands. As she did so, she heard Daniel laugh, looking up a little from where he had been licking and sucking on Felix's hyper-sensitive nipples.

"Jesus, Felix," she muttered, breathless. "How in the hell did you ever lose the big battle of good and evil when you can do shit like that?"

"Not all like it so much as you, Kitty-cat." Felix's voice was a low gravel sound, not quite human, all hunger. "And I did not lose. I simply walked away."

She did not care to say he'd been just about to lose when he'd done so, because there was no point and none of them really cared anyway. By that stage he'd already mostly lost interest anyway, probably why he'd been about to lose; one did not become a traveler overnight, any more than the great evil overlord simply gave it up out of boredom. It took a long while of illusion after illusion being shattered until there was nothing left to hold on to, no meaning left in your own world. When there was not even any pain left to grip.

"Well warn me next time, before you do that," she tried to insist, attempting to get her breath back. Daniel was grinning, still half lying across the creature, licking periodically at his chest.

"Half the fun is in the shock of it," he reminded her, lowering his head once again to Felix's skin. His attentions were quite devoted; Daniel was like that when he was in the mood to be.

Her grin was darker. "Half the fun is in the fighting," she answered instead. "And then losing anyway."

"Then why the fucking continuous delay, complaining you've not yet finished your drink?" Daniel looked up suddenly again, some of his own frustrated anger with her showing. Felix, becoming irritated by the myriad of brief stops in Daniel's attentions to him, simply raised one hand to the back of the blonde man's head and pulled him back down, this time holding him there. Daniel struggled, but Felix's strength was greater than any human's and there was no way he was getting free. She watched as he gave it up and tried instead only to double his efforts to please Felix, anything, no doubt, to get the creature to remove his hold and let him raise his head even if only a little. She wondered idly if he could actually breath with his face pressed against Felix's chest like that and thought that may have been the reason for his uncharacteristic struggles. He was destined to lose them, of course; any who played with Felix knew that would always be the case; it was one of the reasons they went to him. Watching Daniel battle, she licked her lips unconsciously.

"I'll make you wait all the more, just for that," she threatened, her voice low, rough with desire of her own.

This time, however, Felix himself was fed up with the waiting. All of a sudden he pushed Daniel, gasping for air, from him roughly and sat up straight once again. This time, when he turned to Kit, he kept his psychic abilities to himself.

"Finish your drink," he snarled a rough command at her. "Now."

It was nothing less than an order and her body heated in sudden, immediate response to it. She gulped back a shuddered breath, grabbed her drink and brought it to her lips. When she drank it back, she did so in one long swallow, many long years of experienced drinking aiding her ability to skull the almost full glass and not stop until it was completely empty. When she brought the glass back down to the table, it was with a bang. Daniel, still trying to catch his breath, mockingly cheered, with some exasperation.

"At last," he muttered. "Let's go."

* * *

Travelers did not make love.

They fucked.

There was a difference and Kit, as with all travelers, was very aware of it. Or at least they would have been, she reasoned as Felix threw her back against the wall with a crash so hard it made black spots dance before her eyes, if any of them could remember what true making love was actually like.

But it had been a long time.

Right at this moment, she didn't particularly care. All she needed was sex and sweat, an urgent exchange of bodily fluids born from desperation and a need to prove to the world, to all worlds, that she still could make some kind of meaningful connection with her fellow human beings. Or inhuman, considering it was Felix standing in front of her with the darkness of sadistic desire lighting up his black, black eyes.

She struggled, but his strength was the greater and he had her arms pinned above her head and her wrists looped around with ropes before she could even recover her sense of balance after crashing so hard against the plasterboard. Still, she managed to get one hand free as he was tying the first, and she fought him with it until he simply snarled a dark curse and let those inhumanly sharp nails of his rake hard across the skin of her already bare ribs.
